In accreditation you will make sure all volunteers and other non-paying guests get the passes they need to get into the festival area. We’re looking for people that are organized and comfortable with using a PC for your work. You’ll be in contact with a lot of people in a short amount of time, and it can at times be hectic. As such it is important that you are service minded, nice and happy to help. We will need volunteers in this category both before and during the festival.


In the bar you will work with pouring, serving and selling beers and other beverages to a thirsty audience. You have to be okay with a fast pace and preferably you have experience from the service industry. You have to be comfortable with standing upright when working and meeting customers with a smile!

The main task for ticket is to help the festival guests change their tickets to the festival pass. You will be the first to meet the audience and wish them welcome, as such it is really important that you are service minded and a positive soul. There will be availability for shifts both before (daytime) and during the festival.

Are you good at organizing and keeping order? Then this is the category for you! In storage you will work with our storage managers to keep control over all equipment and register the equipment being taken in and out of storage. The storage resides in the festival area and you will use your shift in or around our lovely storage container.

You will be involved in purchasing equipment for the festival or collecting items that have already been ordered. A valid driver’s license is required for this role.

As a photo/video volunteer you have to have your own camera equipment and you need experience in taking pictures. Together we’ll capture that good festival feeling!

Help make Festningen 2023 visible in Trondheim! Distribution happens before the festival, and you need to be somewhat familiar in Trondheim. Working in this category means hanging posters and distributing programs all around town. This is for you whose and extrovert, rich in initiative and the owner of good shoes!

Help us keep the festival sparklingly clean! In renovation it will be your responsibility, alongside your renovation manager, to make sure the festival is a safe and clean place to be, and is a wonderful way to get to know our festival area and the people that work in the different places. The shifts will be during the festival.

The crew and volunteers need food and drinks to last the entire day and this is the main job of the sunshine gang. If you like working with food, being service minded and friendly, this is the group for you. You get to work with a lovely gang that likes to take care of everyone working during the festival and likes to give everyone a good experience.

Transport drives to and from the festival area with a lot of different equipment for artists and crew. You must have a Class B drivers license, but it would help if you have more. This is a varied way to work the festival, with a lot of different trips or all kinds.

As a host you meet the audience with a smile and helps out with the safety of the festival. You will work alongside our security staff to help keep order and create a safe environment for all. It helps if you’re not afraid of conflict when working as a host.

It wouldn't feel like a proper festival without the right decorations! Here you join us in making the festival area ready for the audience by hanging and placing different props and lighting. You’re part of creating what others see, so in this group creativity hangs high. These shifts will be primarily before the start of the festival.

Festningen Pluss is our VIP area, where we provide table service. Festningen Pluss has a 20 year age limit, and you need to be at least 20 years old to apply. To work in this category it is best if you have previous experience.

Work before or after the festival as a rigger! They are the people who make sure the area is ready, both before and after the festival. For this you’ll need good shoes and clothes after the weather. The work can vary but we do have a lot of fences that need to be put up and put together.
